We have had so many beautiful weddings this year that I have several new all time favorites, and this is one of them. Jamie and Derek's wedding was a perfect reflection of their personalities, beautiful and dreamy with lots of fun and clever details. They chose to see each other before the ceremony so they could join their guests right away at the reception. They had their "first look" in their backyard garden that had the most adorable pink shutters...

Derek wanted to get a tattoo to celebrate the wedding. I have never seen a more clever and functional tattoo than Derek's mustache tattoo on his finger...

These are Jamie's sweet grandparents. They were so excited about the wedding and telling me stories about their "Little Jamie." Jamie's grandmother had the same dreamy look in her eyes that Jamie always has.

I love the wild flowers by Petals & Leaves. So perfect for a summer wedding.

Michelle and Eddie are such a chic urban couple, downtown was the perfect place to photograph them for their engagement session. Michelle, having lived in Paris and now New York, has a very unique style. I love the way she mixes feminine florals with those rocker shoes. So hip. I can't wait to see what their wedding is like!

Eddie has a real talent for making Michelle laugh. He made Clay & me laugh too! :)

Beth and Tom had one of the sweetest weddings I have ever seen. Clay and our associate photographer Patience did a beautiful job of capturing all the details and the laid back vibe of the day. So many great diy details! The wedding took place on the bride & groom's property in Ostrander, Ohio, and I am in love with it! It looks so peaceful there.

If you are a soon to be bride you must visit Big Rock Little Rooster! It is a dreamy experience. Everywhere you turn there is something breath-takingly beautiful, like this Vera Wang necklace that I fell in love with! And yes, that is also the Vera Wang dress that Khloe Kardashian wore at her wedding. Kristin from Big Rock Little Rooster brought over some of the most beautiful dresses & accessories for a fun Bridal Couture session with the fabulous MelissaRoshan at our studio. It really felt like the three of us were playing dress up all afternoon! :)

Daphne from The Floral Design Studio brought over these gorgeous flowers. I love the antique roses! Daphne is another must see vendor who we love, and brides always rave about her.

Caitlin first saw Micah when he was doing a stand up act at an improv night. They met through friends that night but Micah didn't get up the nerve to ask Caitlin out until some time later, at his next performance at the same place. I could see the excitement and happiness in Micah's eyes as he told us the story about how he was hoping all night that Caitlin would show up again. She did show up and Micah didn't let her slip away this time, he asked her out. :)

Brides are one of my most favorite subjects in the world to photograph. Maybe it's because I love dresses so much and a wedding gown is sort of the ultimate dress. Or maybe it's because I love to see how they wear their make-up and hair for the big day. I do know that a bride glows, radiates more and more as it gets closer to her wedding day and that is what makes her truly beautiful. The joy. :)

Ashley is one of our glowingly beautiful brides! Her make-up was done by the very talented make-up artist MelissaRoshan.

A couple of months ago when someone from Style Me Pretty contacted us and said they would like to list us in their "Little Black Book" of wedding vendors, my heart did a little flip. Then I found out that they wanted to feature one of our weddings on their beautiful blog. My heart did a little dance, and is still dancing! Style Me Pretty always has the most beautiful weddings featured by some of the most talented photographers I have ever seen. Today Michele + Kevin's wedding that Clay and I photographed this past fall is featured on the cover page of Style Me Pretty. We are so very excited and honored. For all of you still working on your wedding plans, Style Me Pretty is a source of endless inspiration & ideas.

I know most of us around here are ready for spring and have had enough snow days, but I have to say Ashley + Ty made me fall in love with the snow again. They just made it so much fun...

Michele and Kevin's beautiful wedding took place at St. Joseph's Cathedral with the reception at The Westin. There were so many fun details at this wedding. Starting with Michele's shoes with these adorable flowers on them, might be the cutest wedding shoes I've seen...

Michele's mother had this necklace specially made for Michele for her wedding day.

It's always fun to see wedding photos of the bride & groom's parents and grandparents, but especially fun when they are hanging from tree branches with little birds perched on them!

Michele and Kevin included some of the rich traditions of Michele's family's Indonesian culture. The traditional Chinese tea ceremony is a way the bride & groom honor their elders on the wedding day.  

This Balinese dancer was so intriguing...

Congratulations Michele & Kevin! Such an honor to be part of your wedding day.
